Donald Trump sighs, “There probably won’t be another debate to win”

Trump had already promoted several debates, but enthusiasm for a rematch seemed to wane after his performance received mixed reviews and was criticized by many as chaotic and full of false claims. The day after the debate, Trump appeared on Fox & Friends and reiterated his claim that he had won the debate: “The first thing they did was call for a debate, because when a fighter loses they say, ‘I want a rematch,'” Trump said. Asked if he would agree to another meeting, the former president hesitated. “I’m not really keen on it, because we had a great night, we won the debate and we had a terrible network,” he said.
