Keyshawn Johnson Predicts Which Team Will Win The NBA Finals
The Los Angeles Lakers and Boston Celtics are arch-rivals with a history that goes back a long way with different eras that have reignited the rivalry from Jerry West and Bill Russell to Larry Bird and Magic Johnson to Kobe Bryant and Paul Pierce.
Along with these two storied franchises being bitter rivals that have stood the test of time, they are also the two most successful teams in the NBA in terms of how many championship banners (17 apiece) are hanging in the rafters of their respective arenas.
Unfortunately for Los Angeles, LeBron James and company were unable to get the best of the defending NBA champion Denver Nuggets in the first round of the NBA playoffs, which ended their hopes of raising another banner at Crypto.com Arena.
However, the same can’t be said for the Celtics, who are coming off an incredible regular season where the team won a league-best 64 games and were able to wipe the floor with the competition in the Eastern Conference during the playoffs to advance back to the NBA Finals for the second time in three years.
Boston will face Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks in the Finals, with admitted Lakers fan Keyshawn Johnson of FOX Sports painfully picking the Celtics to come out on top, via “Undisputed.”
“There’s a lot of firepower in Boston,” Johnson said.
Despite being a Laker fan, @keyshawn is rocking with the Celtics to get their 18th title:
On paper, the Celtics are the better team heading into this seven-game series, with a lot of firepower, as Johnson pointed out, but Doncic and company have been as resilient as any team in the postseason and could give them a run for their money.
If the Celtics come out on top and win another Larry O’Brien Trophy, they’ll have an NBA-record 18 titles, officially breaking the tie with the Lakers.
