“I was like, ‘This isn’t good, I’ve got to go for it,'” Schauffele recounted reading the final putt as he prepared to make it. “So I didn’t take too long. I was nervous because I thought, ‘The longer I look at this, the more I’m going to see and I might overanalyze it.'” “I ended up hitting it pretty straight. In fact, my putting coach emailed me and said, »Thanks,« I replied, He’s right! I’ve watched this shot about six times and it seems like I messed it up every time (laughs).”
