Morikawa was invited to Woods’ Tiger Jam event in Las Vegas last week. The celebrity guests played golf and poker among several activities organized to help raise money for his foundation. Morikawa was amazed by Woods’ abilities on the course during a seminar for young golfers, but is even more excited to spend time with his idol at the poker table.
“I was fortunate to have the opportunity to do something like that and talk to him and hang out with him,” Morikawa said at a press conference ahead of the Memorial Tournament this week. “When you come back, look at the 15 -year -old personality,” You spend a few hours with Tiger to play poker, achieve some golf goals, select your brain, and hang. That’s why it’s a dream, is that true? So it’s pretty cool.

Despite the fact that Morikawa excavated with Las Vegas Woods to spend time, there was a legend golf clip at a poker event that golf fans at the beginning of this week. The 15th large winner was caught in a cell by a professional poker Philharmut player in the United States during his tiger jam poker charity event.
Woods answered the camera, but the clip raised his eyebrows among his supporters, and asked if he would drink too much.
At the start of the clip, Woods stares into the camera and has been likened to a waxwork model, but other fans were quick to jump to his defense to insist that he was just having a good night out in Vegas.
Meanwhile, Morikawa reflected on the upcoming major championship at Pinehurst this month as he acknowledged how Woods’ ‘ego’ may lead to his detriment in the US Open. Woods has only played four times on the PGA Tour since undergoing reconstructive ankle surgery in April 2023. He has played in the Hero World Challenge, Genesis Invitational, Masters and PGA Championship. While Woods still shows glimpses of the skills that made him famous, lingering effects from a high-speed car accident in 2021 have cast doubt on his ability to complete 18 holes.
But Woods has steadfastly denied using golf carts at PGA Tour events in the past. Morikawa pointed out that Woods’ ego could lead him to make the wrong decisions at the U.S. Open

With the PGA allowing some players to use carts, the two-time major champion was asked if his pride was preventing him from making the right decisions.

“Yes, but his ego is pretty big, just like any of us,” Morikawa replied. “I think he wants to play golf for as long as he can, and maybe there’s something about the golf cart that doesn’t suit him. If he’s allowed, he’ll ride in a golf cart.”

“The craftsmanship and sensibility are still there, right?” Morikawa added. “I don’t know, but for a week of 72 holes and PREP, we add a hole exceeding 18 holes over time. The man has experienced a lot.”
