Tiger Wood’s arrest on assault charges brought by ex-wife Elin Nordegren led to his resignation.
Tiger Wood to resign after use of force arrest
Justin Timberlake and Tiger Wood are looking to expand their growing business empire.
Following the success of his flagship New York sports bar, the “Mirrors” singer and famous golfer will open a second bar in St. Andrews, Scotland, Billboard reported Friday. While preserving the original features of both cinemas, Timberlake, 43, and Woods, 48, plan to transform the popular New Picture House Cinema into an upscale T-Square social venue, introducing state-of-the-art sports simulators, bowling and darts. The publication said the exhibits are meant to pay homage to the site’s deep history.
Property documents state the new bar will allow locals to “experience a wider range of film, dining and entertainment options” and will be “vital in securing future film supplies.”
The “Sexy Back” crooner also has a passion for golf, playing on the country’s legendary courses and even competing in the 2019 Alfred Dunhill Links Championship. The announcement of Timberlake and Woods’ venture comes as the former publicly addresses the aftermath of his DWI arrest in Sag Harbor, New York, in mid-June.
Police arrested him for driving while intoxicated and also cited him for two traffic violations: failure to stop at a stop sign and failure to keep right. Lawyer for former *NSYNC member Edward Burke Jr. vowed to “vigorously defend” Timberlake against the charges.
Following his arrest, Timberlake resumed his Forget Tomorrow world tour. During his first show back last month, he told a crowd in Chicago that it had a been “a tough week.”
I know I’m hard to love sometimes, but you keep loving me right back,” he said.
Woods has also had a plethora of legal troubles of his own over the years, having previously been arrested for DUI in 2017. The 82-time PGA Tour winner had five drugs in his system (Vicodin, Dilaudid, Xanax, Ambien and THC) when police found him asleep at the wheel. Woods later pleaded guilty to careless driving. “I recently completed a private intensive program out of state. I continue to work through this with my doctors, family and friends,” Woods tweeted on July 3, 2017. “I’m so grateful for all the support I’ve received.»
