Shocking Report: CBS Fires Reporter AMANDA BALIONIS AFTER REPORT BY RORY MCILROY. SURFACES: CBS has fired one of its most recognizable golf journalists, Amanda Balionis, following a shocking report received from golf star Rory McIlroy….
Rory McIlroy reportedly used a private investigator to serve his divorce papers to Erica Stoll 24 hours after he claimed the Wells Fargo Championship.
Rory McIlroy used a private investigator to serve Erica Stoll divorce papers, according to a report. The revelation comes from a Belfast Telegraph report published over the weekend that McIlroy had taken a well-deserved week’s break from professional golf during his busy main season.
According to Channel X’s flight tracking radar, McIlroy’s private jet was in Italy and the golfer may have been attending a wedding, but this has not yet been confirmed. McIlroy filed for divorce from his wife of seven years on May 13, 24 hours after winning his 26th PGA Tour title at the Wells Fargo Championship.
According to BT, McIlroy digitally signed the document between 9:06 pm and 9:08 pm ET on May 9. The lawsuit was filed in Palm Beach County court by Thomas Sasser, the same attorney who represented Tiger Woods during his divorce from Elin Nordegren after his extramarital affairs were revealed.
Court documents also show that Carl Woods served Erica with a subpoena. Woods has been a police officer since 1987 and is a certified homicide investigator and licensed private investigator.
BT reported:
“Woods’ filing says he received divorce papers from Mr Sasser’s office at 9.58am on May 13 and served them personally at 10.30am in a stall at the McIlroys’ home at Jack Nicklaus’ luxury mansion, The Bears Club. “He described Stoll as a white man with blonde hair, around 30 years of age, thin, between 5’7″ and 5’8” tall, not wearing glasses.
“The summons served on Ms. Stoll warned her to file a written response to her husband’s complaint with the clerk of the circuit court within 20 days.”

Furthermore, the document states: If you want the court to hear your side of the case, you must file a written answer that includes the case number and the names of the parties above.
“If you fail to file a response by the deadline, you may lose your case and subsequently have your wages, money and property taken away without notice to the court. “There are other legal requirements, so you might want to call a lawyer right away. If you don’t know a lawyer, call a legal referral service or legal aid office (listed in the telephone directory).”
