Speaking to the Daily Mail, a source explained how McIlroy could foresee his fortunes taking a hit as a result of a potential split with Stoll. “Perhaps the cold realization of exactly how much the divorce could cost him hit hard,” the source said. “McIlroy has amassed a fortune of more than £200 million and is expected to earn more than double that over the course of his career, and he certainly doesn’t want to see all his savings go down the drain. It would have felt a huge waste if millions of people found themselves in the lawyers’ pockets. »»

It was reported that McILroy had a net value north of 200 million pounds sterling, with a total value of 225 million pounds sterling. As such, he was named the richest young in Northern Ireland for 2024, according to the Daily Mail. The source added that McIlroy calling off the divorce isn’t an indication of how the pair feel about each other, but the next few months will be more crucial. How McIlroy and Stoll approach the next few months could determine how their relationship develops. “This is a period of reflection and the next six months will show if they can properly repair their relationship,” the source continued. “They also have to think about their three-year-old daughter Poppy. Rory is a loving father and has strong family values.

One of the conditions of the divorce was that he would raise Poppy in some way. Furthermore, in the original divorce filing, McIlroy and Stoll claimed that they decided to separate because their relationship was “irretrievably broken.”

However, McIlroy’s tone seems to have changed in the weeks since he filed for divorce from Stoll. In a statement released on Tuesday, the 35-year-old explained why he decided to try to mend his relationship with the mother of his three-year-old daughter: “Recently, there have been rumors circulating about my personal life, which I regret. Responding to each rumour is a fool’s game,” his statement read, per The Guardian. “Over the past weeks, Erica and I have realised that our best future was as a family together. “Fortunately, we have resolved our differences and look forward to a fresh start.”

One of those rumors surrounding McIlroy was that he was establishing a relationship with CBS Sports anchor Amanda Balionis. In the weeks following McIlroy’s divorce announcement, Balionis was seen growing closer to the Northern Irish golf star.
