PGA Tour players joined commissioner Jay Monahan to remember Murray

PGA Tour players, golf legends and commissioner Jay Monahan came together on Tuesday to remember the late Grayson Murray.

Murray, a two-time winner on the PGA Tour, tragically took his own life last month – shortly after pulling out of the Charles Schwab Challenge in Texas.

The Tour moved to Dublin, Ohio for the Memorial Tournament and on Tuesday, nearly the entire field gathered near the first tee at Muirfield Village. They were joined by Memorial founder Jack Nicklaus, his wife Barbara, caddies and officials.

More than a hundred fans also watched from nearby as a bagpipe played ‘Amazing Grace’. Next to the podium stood Murray’s golf bag and a large framed photograph of his victory at the Sony Open in January.

Scottie Scheffler was among those to speak at the event. The world No 1 confessed to wondering what more he could have done to help Murray, who was open about his struggles with depression, anxiety and drink.
