According to a report from Billboard, Timberlake, 43, and Woods, 48, will renovate the historic New Picture House Cinema into an upscale venue with state-of-the-art sports simulators, bowling and darts. They will also preserve the two original cinema screens to honour the site’s rich history.
An avid golfer, Timberlake has played on some of Scotland’s legendary courses and even competed in the 2019 Alfred Dunhill Links Championship. The company’s announcement comes as Timberlake is still dealing with the aftermath of his arrest for drunk driving in Sag Harbor, New York, in mid-June.
Police arrested the man on suspicion of drunk driving and charged him with two traffic violations: failing to obey a stop sign and failing to make a right turn. Timberlake’s lawyer, Edward Burke Jr., vowed to “vigorously defend” himself against the charges.
Despite his arrest, Timberlake has resumed his Forget Tomorrow world tour. At his first concert in Chicago last month, he acknowledged that it had been a difficult week, telling the audience:
Woods has had some run-ins with the law, including a DUI arrest in 2017. The 82-time PGA Tour winner was found by police asleep while taking Vicodin, Dilaudid, Xanax, Ambien and THC. Woods pleaded guilty to reckless driving and later tweeted about successfully completing an intensive out-of-state program and continuing efforts to resolve his issues with the support of doctors, family and friends.
