Justin Rose was not hidden in his views on Liv Golf.
Another Pga Tour ended with Justin Rose after he was knocked out of the playoffs. Rose finished T22nd at the St. Jude Championship but didn’t earn enough points in the FedEx Cup standings, and with the top 50 players competing in the BMW Championship this week, the 44-year-old is five spots back. He had prepared well heading into the weekend, sitting in T5th place, eight points back, but two consecutive one-point rounds on Saturday and Sunday ended his hopes of qualifying for a second playoff spot in the season-ending tournament. Rose could have found himself in a very different situation now had he accepted an offer from LIV Golf that was rumoured to be in the region of £50 million when the Saudi separatist club approached him before the start of 2022. He has since spoken openly about why he rejected it and his views on his tour rival.

Another PGA Tour is over for Justin Rose after he was eliminated from the playoffs. Rose ended T22 with Sanjud Championship. This does not get enough points in the Fedex cup classification. The 50th progress of 50 and 44 -year -old football players missed the fifth place this week’s BMW championship. He had prepared well heading into the weekend, sitting in T5th place, eight points back, but back-to-back one-point rounds on Saturday and Sunday ended any hope of qualifying for a second playoff spot in the season-ending tournament. Rose might be in a very different situation now if he had accepted an offer rumoured to be around £50 million when Saudi Arabia-backed independent organisation LIV Golf approached him ahead of the start of the tour in 2022. Since then, Rose has been candid about why he turned down the offer and his views on rival tours. Rose was fully aware of the bargain he was being presented with. But for the 2013 US Open champion, there was a stronger motivation for the game than money: his childhood goals. Participating in LIV would limit his ability to earn world ranking points and hurt his chances of automatically qualifying for major tournaments. And these are the championships he’s dreamed of winning since he was a child. “Obviously, it looked great on paper,” Rose admitted to The Telegraph last year, “but the most important thing for me was to pay tribute to the man who was going to win the Masters, the Open, the U.S. Open and the PGA (Championship) on the greens of North Hants Golf Club. I felt like I couldn’t let him down and stop chasing my dreams.”
