The third edition of the Adam Scott Championship has successfully kickstarted! Scheduled from May 29 to May 30 at The Falls Club of the Palm Beaches in Lake Worth, Florida, it will see some of the most renowned junior champs from the AJGA like Tiger Woods’ son Charlie Woods and Trevor Immelman’s son Jacob as part of the field. With the news that Japanese casual wear designer UNIQLO will be sponsoring the event, Adam Scott first announced the championship in December 2021, with the inaugural edition happening in February 2022. The format of the event, however, doesn’t see the participation of just American golfers.
The Open Championship is a cross-continental golfing collaboration between the American Junior Golf Association the Japan Golf Association, and Golf Australia, having a field of 78 players, ages 12 to 19. “When I was a junior player, I learned not only the fun of playing golf but also about other important things in life, such as honesty and respect. Together with UNIQLO, we have created a tournament we hope will be a valuable learning opportunity for young people,” Scott said back in 2022.
